A success story from Kosovo.
In 2011, in a modest workshop in Kosovo, a family began a challenging yet determined journey.
It all started with the father and mother, working with dedication and commitment. Starting with only one employee, their shared effort soon brought their five children—four brothers and one sister—into the business. Together, this family of seven laid the foundations of what would become an inspiring production-based business story.
The beginning was challenging, but the family’s unwavering commitment to quality and tradition drove their progress forward. They began producing frozen pizzas, expanding into pastry sheets for pies, burek, and baklava—delicious foods deeply rooted in Kosovo’s culinary heritage. The family worked tirelessly, often late into the night, with each member playing a crucial role in the development of the business.
As demand grew, so did their ambitions. By 2021, their persistence paid off when they applied for and received a loan guaranteed by the Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund (KCGF). This financing, along with additional support in the following years, allowed them to purchase modern machinery and expand production with two production lines and one packaging line. With this investment, the business grew far beyond its small beginnings into a professional production facility covering 900 square meters of working space.
Today, this factory employs 16 workers and has become a significant player in Kosovo’s export market. Over 60% of its production is exported to 13 countries worldwide, a testament to the global appeal of its high-quality products. Alongside traditional pastry sheets for pies and baklava, they continue to produce frozen pizzas distributed in the Kosovo market.
Their success is not just about business; it is about bringing the quality and taste of traditional Kosovar food to the world. Unique traditional recipes combined with modern technology have positioned them as a trusted supplier in the global food industry, while preserving the authenticity that makes their products special. Exporting heavily to Sweden, their largest market, they maintain high standards through certifications such as FSSC and Halal.
The business has recently installed solar panels, taking another step toward becoming more eco-friendly. Their journey continues with creative ideas and plans to explore new markets and diversify their product line. It is proof that no dream is too big when fueled by hard work, unity, and courage. This family continues to inspire other entrepreneurs in Kosovo, proving that quality production is a key step toward economic and social development. A testament to the resilience and intelligence that define its people.
