Mahir Blaku

Mahir is an economist with a degree in Management and Informatics and a master’s degree in International General Management. He has over 20 years of experience in Kosovo’s financial sector, holding various managerial positions in risk management, business development, and other areas within the banking and microfinance sectors. He has served as Head of the Lending Unit, Risk Manager, and Senior Member of the Management Team. The knowledge acquired through his education and training, combined with his extensive experience—particularly in risk management—has enabled him to contribute significantly to the development of policies, procedures, and other regulatory documents. His expertise extends to portfolio management, credit risk assessment, and the recruitment and training of staff in both banks and microfinance institutions. At KCGF, he is engaged as a Senior Risk Specialist.
